Post-Event Access

The live portion of IOA's 17th Annual Conference has come to an end. However, this doesn't mean the learning and fun have ended. All #IOA2022 registrants maintain their access to the networking opportunities and the recordings hosted in the Virtual Venue, like access to Gather.town. If you did not attend the event live you can still participate. Visit our rates and information page to learn more about purchasing Post-Event Access. The Virtual Venue will be open through December 2022. Then in early 2023, the recordings will be moved to the IOA Online Learning Center where they can be viewed at any time.

IOA is excited to introduce a new interactive virtual experience into #IOA2022. It's time to bring out our inner child and have some fun using Gather.Town!

Gather.Town is a web-based video calling experience and virtual space for people to interact. This virtual space combines video-calling with a 2D map that lets you walk around and talk to the other people right next to you, as well as view videos and documents.  This virtual space will be used for #IOA2022 Mentoring events and networking.

How Does it Work?

  1. Log on using our unique URL
  2. Create Your Profile/Avatar
  3. Navigate the 2D space like you are playing a video game
  4. Walk up and talk to other attendees

  5. Send friend requests and chat in the sidebar

The access link to IOA Gather.town is provided for attendees within the Virtual Venue. If you have registered for the event you will have access to Gather.town.

2. Create Your Profile/Avatar

 

3. Navigate the 2D space like you are playing a video game

4. Walk up and talk to other attendees. This will activate video chat.

5. Send friend requests and chat in the sidebar.
